Poor GJ. Her fifth month day coincided with Christmas Day. She was bewildered by the sudden arrival of many many new toys and books, and endured the comedy hats.
The red and white stripey top came with a set of handmedowns. In the 1 month photo the sleeves are rolled up a long way. Now, at five months, they aren’t rolled up at all. She’s 15lb something, and over 2′ long.
New skills include sitting at table, in a red IKEA high chair. As that chair isn’t available for delivery, getting it involved a trip to the Bristol branch. That was the furthest away from her I’ve gone to date but it went well. Exeter-based readers might like to know it took me a five and a half hour round trip by public transport (including the 90 minutes to get around IKEA itself) and cost under £25.
